El valor medio de la leche en polvo en el mes de junio fue de US$/t 4.633, 9,5% inferior al de mayo y en el nivel más bajo desde julio del año pasado, de acuerdo a datos de Aduanas en base a solicitudes de exportación.
De esta manera, los valores medios de los lácteos exportados por Uruguay comienzan a seguir igual tendencia que hay en el mercado internacional desde la segunda quincena de febrero, como se observa en las subastas en la plataforma de la neozelandesa Fonterra.
Dado que las empresas suelen “venderse” algunos meses hacia adelante, y que hay destinos de Uruguay que difieren de las principales plazas a las que exporta Nueva Zelanda —Venezuela, por ejemplo— hasta el mes de mayo los valores medios se habían mostrado relativamente sostenidos. De todas maneras, el valor medio de la leche en polvo exportada en junio todavía es cerca de US$/t 1.000 superior al que ostenta el producto en los últimos remates de Fonterra, por lo que es factible que la corrección a la baja en el valor medio FOB se mantenga en las semanas siguientes.
Las exportaciones totales de productos lácteos en el mes fueron por US$ 80,95 millones, un aumento mensual de 6,1% respecto a los US$ 76,26 millones de mayo. En el primer semestre de 2014 Uruguay exportó 109.605 toneladas de productos lácteos por US$ 413,5 millones, con un valor medio FOB de US$/t 3.772.
En igual período del año pasado se habían exportado 101.332 toneladas a un valor medio de US$ 3.381, por lo que el valor logró recuperarse 11,6% este año, determinando un aumento en el ingreso de divisas de 20,7%. El principal destino del semestre fue Venezuela, que adquirió lácteos por US$ 138,6 millones, seguido por Brasil (US$ 78,0 millones) y China (US$ 57,2 millones). Entre los tres acaparan 66% del ingreso de divisas del rubro.
